Having accrued 11 years of experience with Next Marketing, Alicia Ferguson got her start with the company as an intern in 2008. Subsequently hired on a full-time basis in 2011 as an account coordinator and has since climbed the corporate ladder, receiving promotions to account executive, senior account executive and account supervisory. Since 2017, she has excelled as an account director, in which she now focuses on several objectives, including maintaining daily contact with clients and assisting them in securing sponsorships.
Since establishing herself in the field of marketing, Ms. Ferguson has successfully completed numerous meaningful campaigns, including for a well-known liquor brand that has aspired to contribute to the local community. She also lead a partnership with Makeovers That Matter, in which they collectively hosted an event to pamper female service members. For her efforts, Ms. Ferguson was the recipient of an Event Marketers Expert Award in 2021. Looking toward the future, she aims to become more involved in the creative side of marketing, through which she can work more closely with clients and help them turn their ideas into reality.
In the earlier years of her career, Ms. Ferguson interned for several other organizations in the motorsports industry, including the Richard Petty Driving Experience, Performance Instruction & Training, and Michael Waltrip Racing. She conducted these internships while pursuing her undergraduate studies at Belmont Abbey College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in business management with a concentration in motorsports management in 2010. On campus, Ms. Ferguson served as vice president and philanthropy chair of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and as a volunteer/team lead at the Church at Chapel Hill. She has also been actively involved with Holy Angels, Abbey Players, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Cathy’s Cause, Hope for Heroes, Doug Herbert’s B.R.A.K.E.S. Foundation and the Freedom Church in Acworth, Georgia.
